Grow requires a JavaScript snippet that gets installed on a website, generally via website header or via Google Tag Manager. The script is asynchronous, which means it can run independently of other processes and does not impact site speed.
Each customer has a unique “Key” in their script, which is how we identify/connect it to their Retention.com account.
What steps does the brand need to do to successfully launch Grow?
The client has properly set up the scripts and conducts a test. There are three scripts to install to make Grow work.
If the client is with Shopify, then they can integrate directly with Retention.com.
After installation, it’s time to test the scripts:
Check on and/or walk-through integrating with their ESP/marketing platform to ensure it's aligned with their email marketing goals.
If the client’s marketing platform is Klaviyo
For any other ESP/Marketing Platform check the how-to guides here in Integrations.
The Brand needs to update their website's privacy policy to include the following text.
The Implementation Manager will address client inquiries, assess their marketing strategy, and share best practices. They will also ensure that the client has completed steps 1-3.
The Implementation Manager will review emails in their marketing platform to identify best practices. They will help the brand segment their audiences and direc them to add the Grow contacts to existing promotional and educational campaigns.
Before January 2024, we set up the Grow contacts to enter a duplicate of a brands welcome flow. Many of our brands still use this strategy.
Final sign off before going live with the Retention.com system.
